About The Berwyn Ballet School

The Berwyn Ballet School opened in September 2021 under Founder, Kimberly Reim. Though small and newly established, TBBS strives to provide the highest quality of ballet education but remaining accessible for all students and families. All of our passionate teachers come from extensive classical ballet backgrounds and have vast training experience to help every single student reach their goals and help them explore their own personal pathways.

TBBS classes feature professional ballet training in the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum.  ABT’s National Training Curriculum combines scientific principles with elements of classical French, Italian, and Russian schools of ballet. The goal of the ABT Curriculum is to train students to use their bodies correctly by educating them on anatomy, kinetics, coordination, and alignment. Artistically, our Curriculum strives to provide for students both a rich knowledge of classical ballet technique and the ability to adapt to all styles of dance.

The Berwyn Ballet School has emerged as a vibrant community-based program in the heart of College Park. Our mission remains to provide quality classical ballet training for all ages with an emphasis on ballet etiquette and appreciation of dance. This year has brought significant growth as we have welcomed a new School Director, Lori Provost, and many new faculty, allowing us to expand our offerings in the art of ballet at 3 locations. Our vision is to make dance accessible and to provide a pre-professional, healthy environment where students can thrive physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
